Sydney Goldman

12th Summer

My name is Sydney and most people at camp just call me Sydney, but some of my campers call me Goldy. This year will be my 12th summer at Chippewa (woah). I am from Deerfield, Illinois and am currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin. Outside of camp, I like to cook, hang out with friends, and binge watch TV. One thing not a lot of people know about me is I was super homesick my first summer of camp, then of course begged to go for 8 weeks as soon as I got home.

This summer at camp, I will be teaching sailing. I love teaching sailing because it’s so fun to see campers enjoying the lake. My favorite camp meal is barbecue and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Elephant Tracks. Lip Sync is my favorite Evening Program because my campers always work so hard to make a fun dance and I love seeing every cabin laugh together on stage. I love being a Chippy because there is no place on earth more positive and energetic than Chippewa, and it’s where I’ve made friends of all ages from all over the world. I am most excited for the summer of 2024 because I can’t wait to be back with my amazing campers and friends on staff!
