Sophie Kiferbaum

7th Summer

My name is Sophie and this year will be my 7th summer at Chippewa. I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a sophomore at Highland Park High School. Outside of camp, I like to bake, read, and dance on the Poms team at my high school. One thing not a lot of people know about me is that my pinkies are double jointed!

This summer at camp, I will be teaching sailing. I like teaching this activity because being on the lake with my friends while sailing is always the best! To be able to help provide that fun experience to other campers is amazing. My favorite camp meal is french toast sticks and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Mackinac Island Fudge. Lip Sync is my favorite Evening Program because I love getting to bond with my cabin while dancing, two of my favorite things! I love being a Chippy because camp is such an encouraging, uplifting, and comforting place where I can be the most true version of myself. I am most excited for the summer of 2025 because I can’t wait to create relationships with my campers and co-counselors!
