Sophie “Barbs” Barber

9th Summer

My name is Sophie but people at camp call me Barbs. This year will be my 9th summer at Chippewa. I am from LA and am currently a student at De Toledo High School. Outside of camp, I like to play sports. One thing not a lot of people know about me is I do not like chocolate.

This summer at camp, I will be teaching skiing. I like teaching this activity because as a camper, I looked forward to taking this activity and I want to share my love of skiing by helping other campers! My favorite camp meal is BBQ and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Cake and Ice Cream. Tan & White is my favorite Evening Program because I love the competitive spirit and parcpitaing in fun activities that everyone enjoys. I love being a Chippy because I always can be myself and create friendships that will last a lifetime! I am most excited for the summer of 2025 because I can’t wait to be with all of my best friends!
