Ty Borstein

3rd Summer

My name is Ty and this year will be my 3rd summer at Chippewa. I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a Freshman at American University in D.C. Outside of camp, I am involved with the Climbing and Ski & Snowboard Clubs as well as with the Sailing Team at my university. One thing not a lot of people know about me is that I’ve flown a plane.

This summer at camp, I will be teaching climbing. I like teaching this activity because I enjoy passing on my passion for climbing. My favorite camp meal is barbecue and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Blue Moon. Counselor Hunt is my favorite Evening Program because I like Hide & Seek. I love being a Chippy because of the amazing community Chippewa has fostered. I am most excited for the summer of 2024 because of the new people I will meet and the new experiences I will have.
