Sam Jones

7th Summer

My name is Sam and this year will be my 7th summer at Chippewa. I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a sophomore at Highland Park High School. Outside of camp, I am involved with SaLT. One thing not a lot of people know about me is I used to be really afraid of dogs.

This summer at camp, I will be teaching swimming. I like teaching this activity because I love being at the waterfront. My favorite camp meal is quesadillas and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Caramel Collision. Lip Sync is my favorite Evening Program because I love dancing with all my best friends. I love being a Chippy because I get to spend the summer with so many people I do not see throughout the school year. I am most excited for the summer of 2026 because I get to be a counselor, camper, and help lead Tan & White all in the same summer!
