Julia Nathanson

8th Summer

My name is Julia but people at camp call me Julian. This year will be my 8th summer at Chippewa. I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a junior at Highland Park High School. Outside of camp, I am involved with theater and Model UN. One thing not a lot of people know about me is in 2018, my dad was the camp doctor and brought my two dogs to camp for a week!

This summer at camp, I will be teaching sailing. I like teaching this activity because sailing on Dam Lake is always exciting and is a different experience every single time. My favorite camp meal is grilled cheese and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Pirate’s Booty. Tan & White is my favorite Evening Program because I love to see the enthusiasm everyone displays for their team. I love being a Chippy because of the lifelong friendships I have made. I am most excited for the summer of 2024 because every new summer gives me a new opportunity to grow even stronger bonds with the people around me.
