Julia Nathanson

9th Summer

My name is Julia but people at camp call me Julian. This year will be my 9th summer at Chippewa. I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a senior at Highland Park High School and will be attending Dartmouth College next year. Outside of camp, I am involved with theater at school. One thing not a lot of people know about me is I have a pet cat!

This summer at camp, I will be teaching sailing. I like teaching this activity because some of my best camp memories come from sailing and I want to help campers make those same lasting memories. My favorite camp meal is grilled cheese and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Pirate’s Booty. Lip Sync is my favorite Evening Program because I’ve always loved wearing silly costumes and dancing on stage and now it’s even better because I get to watch my campers do it! I love being a Chippy because of all of the incredible people I have met who have become my sisters. I am most excited for the summer of 2025 because I get to spend another summer with the best people in the best place!
