Julia Nathanson

10th Summer!

My name is Julia but people at camp call me Julian (or Juli Leaf Leaf). This year will be my 10th summer at Chippewa!!!! I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a student at Dartmouth College. Outside of camp, I like to snow ski, do yoga, do theater, and watch reality TV. One thing not a lot of people know about me is that after ten summers, I am only on lifting in waterskiing.

This summer at camp, I will be teaching waterskiing and directing the play. I like teaching skiing because I love being out on the lake and helping campers pass levels, and I love directing the play because I enjoy working together with the campers to bring a show to life! My favorite camp meal is grilled cheese and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Pirate’s Booty. Lip Sync is my favorite Evening Program because it is so much fun to watch everyone’s dances on stage. I love being a Chippy because of the sisterhood; I have formed bonds with people of all ages that will last me a lifetime. I am most excited for the summer of 2026 because I get to spend another summer with my favorite people in my favorite place!
