9th Summer

My name is Maddyn and this year will be my 9th summer at Chippewa! I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a senior at Highland Park High School. Outside of camp, I like to do diving and gymnastics. One thing not a lot of people know about me is that I love to play pickle ball!!

This summer at camp, I will be teaching waterskiing. I like teaching this activity because I have loved it since my very first summer and I want to spread that joy to other campers!! My favorite camp meal is chicken fingers and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Pirate’s Booty. Lip Sync is my favorite Evening Program because it is so entertaining to watch. I love being a Chippy because I get to spend 8 weeks with my campers and my best friends. I am most excited for the summer of 2026 because camp is the best place on earth and I can’t wait to be back!!
