Karina Ortiz

2nd Summer

My name is Karina and this year will be my second summer at Chippewa. I am from Oaxaca, Mexico and am currently a 3rd year student in International Business at BUAP. Outside of camp, I like to hang out with friends or go for a swim. One thing not a lot of people know about me is that I have a sweet tooth.

This summer at camp, I will be working in the office. I like this because it’s challenging and entertaining. My favorite camp meal is brisket and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Pirate’s Bounty. I love being a Chippy because I feel like I belong. I am most excited for the summer of 2026 because I can’t wait to do it all over again.
