8th Summer

My name is Julia and this year will be my 8th summer at Chippewa! I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a sophomore at Highland Park High School. Outside of camp, I like to play tennis and lacrosse as well as be with my friends and family. One thing not a lot of people know about me is that Winter used to be my favorite season until last year!

This summer at camp, I will be teaching swimming and skiing. I am excited to be teaching these activities because these are the activities that brought me joy as a camper and I would love to help bring that joy to other campers. My favorite camp meal is chicken tenders & fries and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Caramel Collision! Tan & White is my favorite Evening Program because it gives people the opportunity to be heavily involved in a team where everyone is valued for their talents and unique abilities. I love being a Chippy because camp has given me a community I can rely on no matter what, a set of morals that guide me through my daily life, and memories that will last a lifetime. I am most excited for the summer of 2025 because I get to experience what it is like to be a counselor for the first time!
