Emery Sonsino

6th Summer

My name is Emery and this year will be my 6th summer at Chippewa. I am from Nashville, TN and am currently a student at Harpeth Hall. Outside of Camp, I love to play lacrosse and bake, and I am Class President for my junior class! One thing not a lot of people know about me is that board games are my favorite activity to do with friends and family.

This summer at camp, I will be teaching lacrosse and sailing. First of all, I love teaching sailing because I grew up sailing with my dad and my best friends at Chippewa, and I truly think it is such a fun sport! I have also dedicated most of my life to playing lacrosse, and I believe it is such a privilege to get to be on a team and play with so many different girls. My favorite camp meal is gnocchi on awards night and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Pirate’s Booty. Capture the Flag is my favorite Evening Program because I love the competitive and spirited atmosphere along with the mutual sportsmanship. I love being a Chippy because being in an all girls environment allows me to be my goofy self while also feeling supported every day. I am most excited for the summer of 2025 because I get to see all my camp friends again and bond with my campers!
