Ella Engelman

7th Summer

My name is Ella and this year will be my 7th summer at Chippewa. I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a sophomore at Highland Park High School. Outside of camp, I like to play tennis and lacrosse. One thing not a lot of people know about me is my favorite food is cookies.

This summer at camp, I will be teaching swimming. I like teaching this activity because I love watching campers have fun in the lake and improve their swimming skills throughout the summer. My favorite camp meal is Sunday Breakfast and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is French Silk Pie. Lip Sync is my favorite Evening Program because I love dancing with all my friends and I’m so excited to make dances for my future campers! I love being a Chippy because of the friendships I’ve made over the past 6 summers. I am most excited for the summer of 2024 because of running the Tan & White program as a CIT!
