Ella Engelman

8th Summer

My name is Ella and this year will be my 8th summer at Chippewa. I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a student at Highland Park High School. Outside of camp, I like to play tennis. One thing not a lot of people know about me is I love to ski (water and snow!)

This summer at camp, I will be teaching running. I like teaching this activity because all campers are always super excited and engaged in the activity. My favorite camp meal is chicken nuggets and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is French Silk Pie. Lip Sync is my favorite Evening Program because I love seeing everyone’s fun dances and silly costumes. I love being a Chippy because the Chippewa community is so welcoming and unlike anything else I’ve been a part of. I am most excited for the summer of 2025 because I get to reunite with my friends and campers from last summer!
