8th Summer

My name is Danielle, but people at camp call me Dkap or Cookie. This year will be my 8th summer at Chippewa. I am from Deerfield, IL and am currently a senior at Deerfield High School. Outside of camp, I like to play field hockey and lacrosse. One thing not a lot of people know about me is that I love to travel.

This summer at camp, I will be teaching skiing, sailing, and swimming. I love teaching these activities because I LOVE THE LAKE! My favorite camp meal is BBQ and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Mango Sorbet. My favorite Evening Program is the Camper Talent Show because I love watching camper’s confidence as they step out of their comfort zone and perform in front of the whole camp. I love being a Chippy because Chippewa has taught me the importance of being my unique self and I have met my best friends in the world at camp. Chippewa girls are truly the most accepting and supportive people! I am most excited for the summer of 2024 because I can’t wait to reunite with the campers and the staff and spend my eight summer at my favorite place on Earth!
