Mia Barnett

9th Summer

My name is Mia and this year will be my 9th summer at Chippewa. I am from Deerfield, IL and am currently a student at Deerfield High School, but I’m going to Emory University in the fall! Outside of camp, I like to dance! One thing not a lot of people know about me is I love Broadway musicals.

This summer at camp, I will be teaching skiing, sailing and swimming. I like teaching these activities because I can help campers conquer fears and have fun. My favorite camp meal is paninis and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Brownie S’more. Lip Sync is my favorite Evening Program because I love seeing all the creative dances. I love being a Chippy because I love that I can be myself and help others gain confidence! I am most excited for the summer of 2025 because I can’t wait to be reconnected with the Chippy community.
