Avery Fick

7th Summer

My name is Avery Fick but some people at camp call me A-Fick. This year will be my 7th summer at Chippewa. I am from Highland Park, IL and am currently a sophomore at Highland Park High School. Outside of camp, I am involved with the Jammers dance team and I also like to play lacrosse. One thing not a lot of people know about me is that I am extremely talented at Name That Tune!

This summer at camp, I hope to be teaching lacrosse. I wish to teach this activity because this is something I’m very passionate about year-round. My favorite camp meal is grilled cheese and tomato soup, and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Mackinac Island Fudge. Tan & White is my favorite Evening Program because I love seeing everyone in a competitive nature, putting forth their best effort while having fun. I love being a Chippy because the community is so welcoming and the connections I’m able to make at camp are sure to last a lifetime. I am most excited for the summer of 2025 because it will be my first year on staff and a new experience!
