Ava Zamler

7th Summer

My name is Ava but people at camp call me Zammy or Zamler. This year will be my 7th summer at Chippewa. I am from Deerfield, IL and am currently a sophomore at Deerfield High School. Outside of camp, I like to dance, play lacrosse, and spend time with my family. One thing not a lot of people know about me is that I love yoga.

This summer at camp, I hope to be teaching swimming and sailing. I like teaching these activities because I love the water. My favorite camp meal is meatball subs and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. Ari with the Vibe is my favorite Evening Program because I love being able to dress up, dance, and sing with all of my friends. I love being a Chippy because of the long-lasting friendships I have made, and at camp I have leanred to be my authentic self. I am most excited for the summer of 2025 because I can’t wait to be with my best friends again, and play Tan & White.
