Ava Schwab

7th Summer

My name is Ava and this year will be my 7th summer at Chippewa. I am from Highland Park, IL am currently a student at Highland Park High School. Outside of camp, I like to dance and play lacrosse. One thing a lot of people don’t know about me is that I was born in Connecticut!

This summer at camp I hope to be teaching swimming. I would like to teach this activity because it would give me a chance to get to know and bond with more campers. My favorite camp meal is French toast sticks and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Mackinac Island Fudge. Tan 7 White is my favorite Evening Program because each game is so much fun and everyone works together as a team. I love being a Chippy because I get a chance to try new things and make tons of fun and exciting memories with everyone. I am most excited for the summer of 2025 because I get to see what it’s like to be on staff for the first time, which will be really fun and cool. I’m also super excited to do water activity’s like sailing and skiing again!
