Josh McDonnell

3rd Summer

My name is Josh and this year will be my 3rd summer at Chippewa. I am from Liverpool, England and am currently in full time work in an office and a part time bartender on the weekend. Outside of camp, I like to go the gym and play 5 aside football (soccer) with my friends. This summer at camp, I will be teaching Football (Soccer) and Wall and Ropes. I like teaching these activities because football has been a big part of my life growing up and I have always participated in it, so I have a lot of passion about teaching this to the younger generation.

My favorite camp meal is BBQ and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is Mackinac Island Fudge. Pirate Night is my favorite Evening Program because as male staff we get to dress up as the pirates and be really involved in making it the best evening program for the kids. I love being a Chippy because you get to be yourself without any judgment from anyone else and it really brings the best out of all the staff and campers. I am most excited for the summer of 2024 because I get to be back at my home away from home and see all my friends to have a big catch up about everything we have been up to over the winter and have another amazing summer together :)
