My name is Alyssa but people at camp call me Booboo. This year will be my 9th summer at Chippewa. I am from Northbrook, IL and am currently a student at Glenbrook North High School. Outside of camp, I am involved in cheerleading and gymnastics. These sports are so fun because I get to perform during football games and assemblies and show off my cool tricks. I am also involved in a club called Relay for Life at my school which is a fundraiser for those fighting against cancer. This is one of my favorite events my school hosts every year because there are so many fun activities and everyone comes together to recognize the people we know and love and how strong they are. I also volunteer at an elementary school program where I get to play different games with kids and help them with their homework. One thing not a lot of people know about me is that I have been to over 10 different countries around the world!
This summer at camp, I will be teaching cooking. I like teaching this activity because every day we get to make something new. My favorite camp meal is paninis and my favorite Cathy’s flavor is After Dinner Mint. Pirate Night is my favorite Evening Program because it bonds the cabin together! I love being a Chippy because I can be myself at camp. I am most excited for the summer of 2020 because I can’t wait to see my campers and friends all together again.
