Staff Spotlight- September 2026

Our September Staff Spotlight features Maddyn Cohen! Maddyn is a spirited, fun-loving and caring member of the Chippewa community. From skiing to Tan & White and everything in between, Maddyn’s love of camp shines through in her enthusiasm about all things camp-related. She goes out of her way to share that with her campers and fellow Chippies, and we are grateful for her commitment to making camp a fun and positive experience for all. Thanks for all you bring to CRC, Maddyn! We love having you as a part of our staff team. Read below to learn a bit more about Maddyn’s camp experiences and life in the off-season.

How many summers have you been at camp?
This upcoming summer will be my 10th! But I have been at camp for 9 summers!

What cabin were you in during the summer of 2026?
I was in the cabin of C-C!!

What is your favorite part about being a counselor at CRC?
My favorite part about being a counsler at CRC is the endless memories I get to make with my campers. I get to watch my campers grow up from being young campers into role models and leaders that young campers look up to.

What was your favorite memory from the summer of 2026?
My favorite memory of the summer was taking my campers skiing for the first time with my friends as the lifeguard and the photographer on the boat. I got to watch my campers have the absolute best time while getting to spend time with my best friends!!

What is your favorite camp memory of all time?
My favorite camp memory of all time has to be going to Door County my Lakeview summer. We literally made the most out of everything and we got so close as an age group and it was probably one of the best experiences that we still talk about to this day!

How do you stay in touch with your camp friends during the year?
I say in touch I can friends by talking to them every single day. I hang out with my camp friends that live near me and we send video updates to eachother all the time!

What do you do when you are not at camp?
I like to hang out with my friends, go on walks, hang out with my family, and so much more!!

What are you most excited about for the summer of 2027?
I’m honestly just looking forward to being at camp. It’s my favorite place in the entire world and I just look forward to everything while I’m there!
