Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,
Another regularly fantastical day has come and gone at #TheRanch2026. We once again packed in a ton of fun and action…making the most of each and every moment. Here are the deets of the day…
Our Day at CRC
-Morning Wake-Up!
-Breakfast- Scrambled Eggs, Bacon and Chocolate Chip Pancakes.
-Cabin Clean-Up!
-1st & 2nd Period Activities- A morning of full and amazing A-Day activities!
-Lunch- Meatball Subs & Pretzel Bites.
-3rd, 4th & 5th Period Activities- Fish were caught, golds were hit, ski levels were passed and delicious food was made at both indoor & outdoor cooking!
-Tennis Clinic with Denise- Some of our older campers had an incredible opportunity to hone their tennis skills with Denise Murphy. She ran a three hour intensive in which campers practiced their strokes, serves, volleys and overheads. She helped them with not only their actual playing of tennis but their strategy and mental toughness…the girls absolutely loved it!

Everything Matters Moments
-As I passed by the Center Fire Circle in between periods, I found Morgan K (Wagon Ridge) at the podium of the Center Fire Circle. She was leading a pretend campfire for Lexi N (Circle C). It was great…maybe Morgan will be up there one day as a member of the cabin of Lakeview to lead a campfire for the entire camp…I can see it!
-During fourth period, Soph-Aloaf and I headed to the basketball courts to join a very fun basketball class. We played a game that was new to me- we decided a theme as a group and took turns naming something in that theme…if you liked the thing named, you shot from wherever you were on the court. Examples of the themes included animals, camp food, camp activities and more. I was very impressed with the shooting by Izzy A (Rafter^X), Kaia L (Lucky-X), Penelope Z (Blackfoot), Harper G (Silverspurs), Palmer B (Rafter^X), and Sophie (she’s legit good!). It was so fun to be on the court with these girls- they were enthusiastic about basketball and quite welcoming to Soph and me!
-Today in cooking, campers made very delicious banana bread muffins. One of the best parts of this recipe is the size…there are always enough muffins for campers to share. This morning campers of all ages were exiting the CRC Cooking Academy with muffins in hand to share with other Chippies…we were very well fed!
That’s what I’ve got for you tonight. We are nearing the point in the summer where it feels like it is all moving too quickly…we aren’t quite there but it almost seems like campers and staff know it’s coming…everybody seems to be appreciating one another and our time here a little bit extra. These regular days of activities and time to just be with one another are limited, but while we have them, we are certainly making it all matter!
Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
