Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

Happy Saturday! We had another special day at #TheRanch2026…we are really learning how to be nimble and make the most of each and every unique situation thrown our way. Everything Matters Moments
-This weekend has been one with quite a few alumni visitors…we have the Women in STEMM (Lakeview 2017), Shira & Abigail along with Juj & weeklong guest/counselor Lily. Having these very young alumni spending time at camp is energizing. Watching them interact with one another and with the current campers & staff is heartwarming. We certainly miss having these gals at camp but having them pop in is such a nice reminder of the impact counselors have, and the positive legacy that remains present at CRC even when they are not here.
-After dinner, I had an impromptu office hang with Parker Z (Circle C), Avery J (C-C) and Ellie A (Bowed Legs). There was nothing in particular that brought us all together but we had a good fifteen minutes of uninterrupted chitter chatter. Without a doubt, moments like those are some of the best of my summer…just getting to spend time with campers without an agenda is the best!
-The Chippewa Staff- they are an EMM constantly. Today was yet another day that highlighted the fact that we have the very best staff team on the planet. They make plans, they implement plans, they pivot from those plans when needed, and most importantly, they ensure that our campers feel safe, heard & supported. We have seen this all summer long and it has been on full display these last couple of days.

-Tonight we moved Screen on the Green into the New Building where it became screen on the sport court . We had a couple of technical difficulties and there were a few campers who were incredibly helpful. Shay S (Boots), Kylie R (Lucky-X) and Skylar S (Lucky-X) all had some tips to help us get the movie going. And then, when things were looking dismal, we got a “You’re doing great” from Leah N (Horseshoe). In the end, Sadie G (counselor in Silverspurs) saved the day and we enjoyed watching “The Greatest Showman!”

That’s about all from here at CRC. We have had our heads on a swivel- we are being challenged and yet we are still feeling all the good Chippy vibes. The energy is high and we are riding the wave! Thanks for reading- talk to you all soon!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
