Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

I hope you all had a wonderful Wednesday- rumor has it that mail from #TheRanch2026 has finally made it home…yay! We had another fantastical day at CRC and here is how it all played out…

Our Day at CRC
-Morning wake-up!
-Breakfast- Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, and Turkey Bacon
-1st & 2nd Period Activities- regular and wonderful!
-Lunch- Meatball Subs, French Fries, Chicken Noodle Soup
-Rest Period & Cabin Games
-4th & 5th Period Activities!
-Trailriders returned from their camping trip to Mackinac Island- they were tired yet full of laughter, had an amazing time yet are happy to be back at their summer home!
-Dinner- BBQ and Luigi’s Italian Ice
-Tan & White Lip Sync (aka T.A.W.L.S.)- This is a Tan & White game that campers love and is always incredibly cute & fun. Tan and White teams break down into five groups- a mixture of ages and stage talent (part of what makes it so great). Some performances are super serious and demonstrate amazing dancing skills while others are more comedic. There is something for everybody and I love watching the collaboration and connection that goes on both during the practices and the performances. Each and every Lip Sync was outstanding, and at the end of the night, the Neutrals read their poem announcing the Whites as the winning team.

Activity Achievements
-Skye N (Lakeview) officially joined the Gold Club as she hit her 102nd goals in only four activity periods!br> -Alina S (Timber Walk) got up and around the lake on two skis!
-Amelia F (Bowed Legs) dropped a ski and got around the lake on one ski!
-Sloane B, Shiloh C & Emma R (A-Frame) along with Sydney M, Reece M & Leah N (Horseshoe) all caught a fish today!
-Mave B (Silverspurs) & Cassidy A (Lucky-X) cantered today in riding!
-Lana M (Lakeview) did a rising trot by herself in riding!
-Joss R & Dylan B (Boots) completed 450 bobs during their swim period today…quite a feat!

Everything Matters Moments
-Today at lunch as the commissaries were bringing their trays of food to their tables, Cora P (Timber Walk) did something incredibly kind. I need to preface it by reminding you that there were fries at lunch…that’s a big deal around here…typically Chippies go wild for fries and are in a big rush to being eating them. That said, Cora noticed that the commissary from Circle C was in need of help carrying the food to her table. She got out of line (which meant she would have to wait longer to enjoy her lunch), and smoothly helped this younger camper get all of her food (fries included) to her table. It was a small but meaningful act of kindness- Cora didn’t even know I was watching but I was very happy to witness this EMM (Everything Matters Moment)!

-After lunch, as I was walking back to the office, I heard some beautiful music coming from outside the Gold Center. Once I made it up the hill, I saw something beautiful- the entire cabin of Lakeview was standing in a circle singing their hearts out in the rain. Every single camper and every single counselor had a true look of joy- they were together and without a care in the world!
-This evening’s BBQ ended up indoors because of the water falling from the sky. Nevertheless, Kitchen Manager Jeremy did the grilling outside at Jack’s Grill. As I was talking to him, Parker Z (Circle C) popped out of lodge to say, “Yeahhhh, Jeremy!” on repeat. It brought a huge smile to his face- there have been so many campers this summer who have shown the kitchen great appreciation…loved hearing it from Parker and I love knowing that our campers notice the hard work that our kitchen crew of twelve is putting each and every day to keep us happy and fed!

That’s all I’ve got for you tonight- thanks for reading!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
