-Today we had fourteen campers participate in the Camp Kawaga Rackets tournament. They had a blast and rocked it. Shoutout to Annabelle K & Maddie J (Bowed Legs), Laken E & Haddie I (C-C) for playing paddle; Georgia S, Mikki L, Maya F and Sadie M (Lakeview) for playing pickle; and Mila S, Ruby G, Riley F, Annie F, Peyton S and Brooke R (Lakeview) for playing tennis! These girls represented Chippewa well on the courts!
-Lucy B (Trailriders) scored in Capture the Flag twice for the White Team…it was incredible! And Coral S (Trailriders) captured the flag for the Tan Team this evening…way to go, girls!

Everything Matters Moments
-Jen the Baker, who is the CRC Cooking Instructor and beloved staff member, realized that her cat, Timmy was missing around dinner time. It was an all-camp search for this cat and our campers demonstrated an immense about of care and empathy for Jen. Campers as young as eight and staff members as old as me were searching high and low for Timmy the cat. In the ned, Timmy ended up on Jen’s doorstep, and all is well. While this was a little bit of a scary time for Jen, she felt an immense amount of love and support from her village…I am confident that this is how we would show up for anybody who is a part of #TheRanch2026…pretty cool!
-Capture the Flag was full of EMMs…campers were excellent sports while still competing hard, they were building one another up and they showed what spirited and healthy competition looks like. I love to see it!

Thanks for reading- more tomorrow, I promise!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
