Staff Spotlight- April 2026

Our March Staff Spotlight features Maddie Kashy! Maddie is an enthusiastic and energetic presence at camp each year. She is a dedicated member of our staff team- as a caring counselor, an invested activity instructor, and this off-season as an active member of the CRC Philanthropy Council Leadership Team. We are so excited to have Maddie at Chippewa this summer… and hopefully for many, many more years to come! Read below to learn a bit more about Maddie’s camp experiences and life in the off-season.

How many summers have you been at camp?
9 summers.

What cabin were you in during the summer of 2025?
A-Frame!

What is your favorite part about being a counselor at CRC?
My favorite part of being a counselor is the bonds I have formed with campers and counselors around camp.

What was your favorite memory from the summer of 2025?
My favorite memory was when my campers won Lip Sync. It was so nice to see their hard work pay off!

What is your favorite camp memory of all time?
My favorite camp memory of all time was when Kate Bradley came to teach us sailing my Lakeview summer and we sailed all the way up until dinner around the lake. It was so windy out and we had an absolute blast.

How do you stay in touch with your camp friends during the year?
I stay in touch with my camp friends by FaceTiming them and visiting them.

What do you do when you are not at camp?
Outside of camp I play field hockey, lacrosse, and do gymnastics. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

What are you most excited about for the summer of 2026?
I am most looking forward to teaching sailing during the summer of 2026.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE SUMMER!!
