Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

“Today is Wednesday,
Wednesday Banquet…”

If you know that song, you know how we are feeling right now at the end of the final day of #TheRanch2025. We are sad and yet we are fulfilled. Tomorrow I will write and share an ushy and gushy post, but for now, here are the details of our day at CRC…

Meals
-Breakfast: Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Bacon and Scrambled Eggs
-Lunch: Chicken Fingers and French Fries!
-Dinner: Chicken Parm, Gnocchi, Ice Cream Sundaes & Cookies!

What Else Happened Today?!
-We packed and we cleaned…not so exciting but we did it with our best friends, our camp friends!

-We had our Final Campfire and it was actually so special. Lakeview nailed it beyond as they have seemed to do all summer. Their speeches were meaningful, unique and articulate. Lakeview, you went out with a bang!

-Banquet dinner was delicious and the apps were on fleek. We had a lovely awards ceremony, which included awards for each activity, cabin plaques revealed and Instructor’s Aides awarded to very deserving campers. To end the night we announced the 2025 Miss Chippewa Rodeo…a ginormous congratulations to Sydney B…so well deserved both based on her performance at the Miss Rodeo show as well as her efforts and commitment all summer long. We then had a little coin ceremony where we honored Charity W with the Courage Coin, Poppy M with the Curiosity Coin, Eva Soffer with the Catalyst Coin, Millie W with the Enthusiasm Coin and Maddie Z with the Authenticity Coin. These campers have exemplified these traits & values all summer long and we are grateful to have them as a part of the very best community ever! And finally, we called up the 2025 Honor Camper, Alexa R…and the crowd went wild. We honored Alexa with the Confidence Coin and let her know just how important she is to CRC…she has been a positive and compassionate leader all summer long…she has been a major player in helping to make this summer one for the history books. Congrats and thank you, Alexa!

-We then moved the party to the beach where we had an out of this world fireworks show over Dam Lake…like legit unbelievable! After the show, we slowly and quietly walked to the North Field with our cabins to watch the burning of the CRC Effigy. It was quite a moment…somber and full of connection. And then our final creed of the summer was sung, tight hugs were exchanged and tears were shed.

I know this is short but I want to get back to taking in the remainder of the time we have left…I want to feel the impact for just a few more hours. But tomorrow you will get more of me…like it or not :). Thanks for reading this evening!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
