What Else Happened Today?!
-Regular activities doesn’t full articulate what transpired within the confines of CRC today but in official terms, it was a day full of regular activities. Things were hype all over camp- there was climbing and ziplining, there was deliciousness being baked at cooking, there were SUPers both standing and sitting on paddle boards paddling away, skiers were passing levels left and right, the pontoon boat was on Dam Lake with Chippy anglers and forehands were being practiced at tennis. That honestly just scratches the surface but everywhere I walked today, there was amazingness.

-In dance, they had a unique competition…shoe jumping! Campers tested how many pairs of shoes they could jump over and the results are impressive! Mille W, Harlow F, Shay C, Brooke S, Sutton G and Jordyn W all jumped over seven pairs of shoes. And Kenzie C, Edie B and Hazel N jumped over eight pairs! I think I need to see this one for myself in the coming days.

-I had a couple of personal highlights beginning with witnessing Tyler T climbing the obstacle course side of the wall. She was excitedly climbing while her friends cheered her on. And at riding, I had the opportunity to see Riley H, Poppy M and Eden M on a trail ride. At pottery, Hazel N was very excited to show off her amazing pot that she created on the wheel. I am in awe of the pottery skills being learned in the pottery studio this summer…there is creativity and talent flowing out of that space! And then following afternoon snack, I decided to head to the waterfront and sit on the Daisy. I think I might make this a daily ritual because it was a very cool couple of minutes. I had the opportunity to observe the waterfront in all of its glory. Swimmers were having a blast on the lake- the sounds of glee coming from the swim area were heart warming. And at sailing, I watched as Emery Sonsino helped the campers understand today’s wind pattern. As campers prepared their sailboats to head out onto the water, Emery opted to join Gemma F, Cora P and Alexa G…they were today’s big winners as they got to learn from Emery while she was on their boat!

-After a wonderful Saturday Night BBQ Dinner, we loaded the buses to head to Camp Kawaga. Siblings, cousins and friends were happy to reunite, take photos, play some paddle and enjoy refreshments. It was a wonderful evening…thanks, Kawaga for hosting!

So yeah, our day pretty much rocked! Thanks for reading- stay tuned for our podcast tomorrow night!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
