What Else Happened Today?!
-The morning began with Sydney S from Boots making some good headway in the Seven Wonders Quiz. She won her cabin a movie party in The Gold Center. Following the fantastic wake-up, we listened to our Friday Night Campfire playlist at breakfast to get in the campfire mood.

-Our day was filled with regular activities and they rocked. At Arts & Crafts, campers enjoyed making CRC custom sticker beans…a real hit this summer! And at swimming, we had some guest instructors in the Trailriders period- shoutout to Ellie, Marni and Sydney. They led relay races that were fun, silly and even a little bit intense. At Random House, campers were putting the finishing touches on their boats. Everyone is very excited to see how long and far their boats will float on the next A Day!

-I had the privilege of giving a tour this morning, and while I am constantly filled with pride for this camp, the tour elevated that pride for sure! Camp looked great (shout-out to Blackfoot and Silverspurs for their amazing cabin clean-up work) but way more significant than how camp looked was the welcoming and friendly nature of Chippies across camp. Campers and staff of all ages eagerly introduced themselves, talked about their favorite parts of camp and helped get this prospective family hyped about CRC. It was amazing!

-Tonight’s campfire theme was Community and it was a good one! We began at the flagpole for our formal retreat where Lily Zirin and Millie Frankel sang the Star Spangled Banner while Ava M, Samantha G and Emma S lowered the flag. Shoutout to Viv L for holding the flag box. We then headed to the Center Fire Circle for the main event. Jorge Colubi kicked us off by sharing details of his home country, Spain. Gretta M led a very meaningful campfire with readers Emma A, Jody J, Julia M, Susie R, Joss R, Olivia R, Jeneva E, Ivy S, Caroline M, Harper M and Cora B. Emmie Dubin and Skylar C wrote and read beautiful sermonettes- both added so much to the evening vibe. The CR-Singers led two songs and Cara McGurgan & Maddie Z played the guitar and sang “A Million Dreams.” It was outstanding and the crowd was captivated! We ended the night with a Keylog Ceremony and the Chippewa Creed.

That’s all I have for you tonight- today was a day full of impact, fun and love! Thanks for reading…have a great night!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
