Lost Teeth
This is a new section…each summer I am amazed by the number of campers who lose teeth. It’s always an exciting time for campers, and we all love when Gladys, our Tooth Fairy visits.
-Amaya G lost THE FIRST TOOTH of the summer of 2025!

Activity Achievements
-Shay S crossed the wakes on two skis!
-Dylan K hit the very first gold of the summer at archery!

What Else Happened Today?!
-Before we called 1st Period A-Day, we had a little pump up crew in the office…I mean the excitement was obvious- activities were about to officially kick off! We blasted “Eye of the Tiger” and had a dance party to celebrate what we knew would be an epic day. Maddie Kashy was joined by Parker Z, Paige C and Shay C vibing, jumping and dancing with excitement!
-Throughout the day, the energy around camp was amazing. Campers were thrilled to jump in the lake- playing on the splashmat, enjoying some floaty toys and generally cooling off in Dam Lake. And at flag football, I had the great pleasure to witness Lexi K catch an amazing touchdown pass!
-At rest hour, we had a very cute Big & Little Sis reveal. Big sisters ran towards their little sisters holding up signs that they made for them. It is always amazing to see how happy the littles get to meet their camp big sisters. And their big sisters take the responsibility so seriously- they legit understand the impact that they will inevitably have on their little sisters’ summer experience. And tonight big and little sister duos enjoyed a BBQ dinner together…it was delicious and very sweet!
-The evening program was the perfect end of an outrageously fun day. We had the Opening Staff show, which was a very special display of talent, confidence and humor. There were dances that have been performed for decades that made their way into the Staff Show and there were brand new acts that were very well received. Cliff sang “Right Field,” which always gets the crowd excited. The night ended with a huge Chippy Dance Party…new campers, returning campers, young campers and older campers joined the staff in this sweaty, dance your heart out, crazy fun tradition. This was a night that this community will remember…a night that really got the summer of 2025 started…tonight made an impact!

And now, camp is quiet and Chippies are getting their rest so that they can have another outstanding day tomorrow at 8258 County O. I cann’t wait to see what will ensue as this summer unfolds…whatever it is, I have a good feeling it is going to be magical! Thanks for reading- check back tomorrow night for Soph-Aloaf’s first blog post of the summer. Talk with y’all soon!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
