Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,
I am reporting to you live from The Office at the Top of the Hill after a truly marvelous day at #TheRanch2025. Here’s what happened today!
Meals
-Breakfast: French Toast Sticks & Scrambled Eggs
-Lunch: Chicken Fingers & Curly Fries
-Dinner: BBQ Dinner!
Birthdays
-Imani Williams from Copper Stripes celebrated her 11th birthday!
Lost Teeth
-Cameron R from Lucky-X lost a tooth!
Activity Achievements
-Alexa D got up and around the lake on two skis!
-At Random House, Sloane B from Rafter^X & Skylar S from Blackfoot created a bridge that held sixty six pounds! Random House instructor, Tessa B, was very impressed with the design of their bridge…apparently what they created mimicked how engineers build real life bridges…so cool!
What Else Happened Today?!
-We had an amazing day of B Day Activities. The weather was finally just right- not too hot, not too cold and the sun was shining! Campers were excited to swim, ski, bake CRC Brownies and horseback ride. Camp was booming with energy and fun!
-This morning I had the great honor of being the first Chippy to zoom down our brand new zipline. The real challenge was getting to the top of the wall…no small feat if I do say so myself. But once up there, I was taken aback by the beauty of CRC from fifty feet high. I’ve been on top of the wall before, but I’m not sure I’ve ever really taken the time to appreciate the birds eye view of Chippewa…it was amazing. Equally as amazing were the cheers that were coming at me from trampball. The campers there were chanting my name and encouraging me to be brave enough to take the plunge. It was incredibly sweet and they had quite the impact on my morning. Our campers are simply the best and this morning was just another demonstration of this.
-Another highlight of the day was observing the second period lacrosse class. They were legit playing lacrosse, making one another better and enjoying their time together on the South Field. Lacrosse is relatively new to the CRC activity slate and it has become a sport that is loved by the Chippy community!
-As I was walking across the field later in the day, I saw Hayley B climbing at a ridiculous fast speed up the challenging side of the wall. Seeing as how I had climbed earlier today, I had a true appreciation of the skill and agility it takes to do what Hayley makes look so easy. Way to go Hayley!!
-After a delicious BBQ dinner, we loaded the buses to head to Camp Timberlane for a social. We had a blast at their carnival- playing games, eating snacks and chit chatting with our Timberlane brothers, cousins and friends. It was a lovely evening!
It is hard to believe that week two is nearly complete. The time is just moving so quickly around here- I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun. Stay tuned for a podcast tomorrow! Thanks for reading…goodnight!
Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
