Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

We had a very lovely day at #TheRanch2024. Tonight was supposed to be a podcast night but our day was too jam packed to get enough campers in for interviews. So it’s just me tonight with a quick rundown. Tomorrow will be a Happy Camping & Love Podcast for sure…or at least almost for sure :). As for today…here’s how it all went down…

Meals:
-Breakfast- French Toast Sticks & Scrambled Eggs
-Lunch- Chicken Fingers & Fries
-Dinner- BBQ!

Achievements:
-Braelyn S got up and around the lake on two skis!
-Sasha C & Tyler T crossed the wakes on two skis!
-Julia B & Mackie L lifted a ski for ten seconds!
-Bryna C dropped a ski and crossed the wakes on one ski!

Details of the Day:
We had a truly wonderful day of regular activities! The blondies baked in cooking were quite delicious, and it seemed like there were a lot of them to go around. We had campers stopping by the office all day long to offer us a taste of these amazing treats. At yoga this morning, they played some pickleball…I guess there was some flexibility in the lesson plan!

At lunch it was announced that we had two new Chippy Bats…Lucy W and Lily G! A big congrats to these two Chippies…this is a huge achievement around here…campers work incredibly hard for many summers to get to this point in their waterski career. The cheers of joy and support that were expressed around the lodge following this announcement was heart-warming. There were screeches, hugs and ginormous smiles all throughout the Adler Lodge. It was a display of Chippewa Sisterhood that we have come to expect at 8258 County O. But it isn’t something to be taken for granted…this level of love and genuine happiness for others is unique, and we are lucky to live it each summer!

This evening we headed over to Camp Horseshoe for a social- our last of the summer. Campers were excited to see their friends, brothers and cousins…and of course, Coach Nate! We ate popcorn, chatted, danced and even hung out in some light rain. Speaking of that light rain…tonight was supposed to be Stalk the Lantern but sadly the rain prevented us from following through with the plan. In good news, campers got to go to their cabins for some rest directly after the social…some extra sleep is definitely needed around here.

So that was our day…it was a fairly regular one…if such a thing exists around here. I apologize for being a bit light on details this evening, but more to come soon! Thanks for reading…goodnight, Chippies!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
