Staff Spotlight- October 2024

Our October Staff Spotlight features Bego Gomez! Bego is a thoughtful, compassionate and fun member of our staff team. It is abundantly clear in all Bego does that she cares deeply about her campers, and she goes above and beyond to ensure they get the most out of their summers at camp. We love having Bego as a part of the CRC community! Read below to learn a bit more about Bego’s camp experiences and life in the off-season.

How many summers have you been at camp?
I have been at camp for 2 years.

What cabin were you in during the summer of 2024?
I was in Lucky-X.

What is your favorite part about being a counselor at CRC?
My favorite part of being a counselor is laughing with my campers for silly things and always having a really good time!

What was your favorite memory from the summer of 2024?
My favorite memory of summer ’24 was when my campers tried to teach me how to pronounce properly words like “zipline.” We were laughing really hard!

How do you stay in touch with your camp friends during the year?
I keep in touch with my friends through Snapchat.

What are you most excited about for the summer of 2025?
I’m looking forward to dancing better than last year and learning how to ski.

What do you do when you are not at camp?
I go to Uni and I also do calisthenics.

Anything else you want to share with your Chippy family?
I am really excited to do the zipline with no hands!
