Happy Wednesday, Sari Diaries!
I’m Emmie D and I cannot wait to tell you all about my day! This morning we woke up to a bright sunny day, and were welcomed with an exciting Seven Wonders Quiz all about Chippewa history. After it concluded, we ventured off to breakfast and I made myself a delicious bowl of yogurt and granola.
Following cabin clean-up, the majority of campers headed to their regularly scheduled A-Day activities while myself, along with many of my friends, prepared for The Little Mermaid, which was to be performed this evening.
After two periods of successful practice, we were called to the Center Fire Circle to find out the laregely anticipated winners of Realm. With 1,000 points, Julia P placed 3rd; with 1,300 points, Ava Z placed 2nd; and with 1,700 points, Sadie So placed 1st! As for the overall outcome, the Whites beat the Tans by 8,000 points.
A little later, the Kahuna Day captains announced each team, the theme being Colleges! I am on team Illinois, with Ana V, Millie F and Maddie L as the captains of our team. To prepare for Kahuna Day, captains hosted sign-ups for campers to learn what they would participate and compete in throughout the day. I had chosen sailing, banner making and bucket brigade!
Tonight, Timberlane visited us to watch the long awaited production, a tradition for this particular social. The play was put on twice for both Colt and Wrangler Villages. Scout K was the lead, Ariel and I was Ursula! Both performances proved to be a huge success. The cast was rewarded with an ice cream party in the lodge to wrap up the wonderful night!
Thank you for having me as the guest writer tonight.
