Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

We have had a lovely day at CRC and I am here tonight to tell you all about it! But before I go much further, I want to make a commitment to all of you…tomorrow will begin the Happy Camping and Love podcast. Many campers have been asking about it and you may have been wondering what happened to the audible version of TSD that typically gets posted once or twice a week. I apologize for my delay in creating the first podcast but I figure if I put it in writing that it’s coming, it must happen. So here is my commitment to all of you…tomorrow night there will be a podcast.

As for today though, we were back to a full day of regular activities…and they were rocking. It was tie-dye day at arts & crafts, which was quite exciting. And at skiing, the achievements were once again robust. They included: Noa B getting up and around on the boom, Stella R, Skylar C & Scarlett L getting up on two skis for ten seconds, Julia F crossing the wakes on two skis, Charlie I lifting a ski for ten seconds and Naomi R getting up on one ski for ten seconds! As for my personal favorite story of the day, Gemma F appeared this morning in the office to let me know about her activities. I always love when campers come in just to say, “hello,” and to tell me about their days. Gemma informed me that she waterskied for the first time ever and it is already her favorite activity…how cool is that?! I also got to stop by swimming when Rafter^X was in the water. They were loving Dam Lake, showing off their strong treading skills and giggling with their counselors who were their instructors today.

After our Taco Tuesday dinner, we all got ready for our Narty Farty (neon foam party). Campers and counselors got decked in neon, put on bathing suits and headed to the North Field. The playlist tonight was outrageously fun and had us all dancing the night away. The Narty Farty also included the foam machine spewing out wearable foam, a huge slip n slide and sno-cones to stay refreshed. There were water fights, piggy-back rides and plenty of other care-free fun. Foam party always lends itself to some good bonding time…friends of all ages frolicked around the field forming memories that will last forever…or at least for a very, very long time. The excitement ended relatively early, which gave campers plenty of time to shower, do some cabin activities and get to bed early…at least camp early!

So that was our day at #TheRanch2023…it was really quite wonderful. From wake-up until bedtime, connections were being strengthened and kindness was being demonstrated. Tomorrow is a new day and I am confident it will be a great one. Not only will it be the first podcast of the summer, it looks like the weather will be good and the menu has some fan favorites! Thanks for reading tonight- talk to y’all soon!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
