Staff Spotlight- December 2023

Our December Staff Spotlight features Samantha Rosenberg! Samantha is someone whose love of CRC shines through in all she does. She is a caring counselor who brings the fun to her cabin, her activities and all around camp! Sam works to ensure that campers get the most out of their summers at Chippewa, and we are lucky to have her as a part of the CRC crew! Read below to learn a bit more about Samantha’s camp experiences and life in the off-season.

1. How many summers have you been at camp?
2024 will be my 8th summer at camp.

2. What cabin were you in during the summer of 2023?
I was in the cabin of Copper Stripes.

3. What is your favorite part about being a counselor at CRC?
My favorite part of being a counselor is maintaining Chippewa traditions and carrying them on with my campers.

4. What was your favorite memory from the summer of 2023?
My favorite memory from the summer of 2023 was winning Songfest!

5. What is your favorite camp memory of all time?
My all time favorite camp memory was bonding with my cabin Lakeview summer while planning 4th of July!

6. How do you stay in touch with your camp friends during the year?
I stay in touch with my camp friends during the year through text, Snapchat, and FaceTime.

7. What are you most excited about for the summer of 2024?
For the summer of 2024, I am looking forward to spending time with my best friends and campers at my second home!

9. What do you do when you are not at camp?
At home, I play on the Highland Park varsity tennis team and I am involved in a variety of clubs including Charity Drive, Educators of Tomorrow, and DECA!

10. Anything else you want to share with your Chippy family?
