This month’s Alumni Spotlight features Lauren Heller! Lauren is a lifelong Chippy whose camp legacy endures in her yearly Family Camp attendance. She was a spirited and enthusiastic camper and counselor with a true appreciation for all that camp as to offer, and we love her continued dedication to the CRC community. Read a bit about Lauren below- both her memories from her time at camp as well as some information about her life now. A big thank you to Lauren for sharing with us!
What years were you at CRC?
1986-1996. And I’m a Family Camp lifer!
Which summer was your favorite and why?
1996- I loved being a counselor and hanging out with the staff.
What is your favorite camp memory?
My 10 Year. One of the best nights of my life!
What was your favorite activity at camp?
UN DAY!
Were you a Tan or a White?
We’ve Got the Might!
How do you keep in touch with your camp friends?
Texting, social media, and of course… FAMILY CAMP!
Where do you live now?
Columbus Ohio. GO BUCKS!
What do you do?
Sales at NetJets.
What do you miss most about camp?
For me camp is the place where I feel people know me the best, and I am always at my best. You don’t always get that in the normal world.
Anything else you want to share with your Chippy family?
Although you don’t realize it as a kid, as an adult I can say that Chippewa gives all the tools you needed to succeed in life, and provides you with the best lifelong friendships and support you could ever hope for.
