Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,
Welcome to the new Sunday night format of The Sari Diaries. On Sunday nights, Emily Jaksich will be co-writing TSD with a different camper each week. Check it out and enjoy!
Happy Camping and Love,
Sari

Dear loyal readers, friends, and family,

Happy Sunday! It’s Emily (or Jaksich to those on County O) and Annie F here to cure the Sunday scaries for all of you at home and tell you about the fantastic day we had here at camp.

Emily: Let’s begin with breakfast. As some of you may know, Sunday breakfast at CRC is really something to talk about. Cliff, Lisa, and Sari made pancakes, scrambles, and omelettes to order!
Annie: I had a pancake with Oreos, chocolate chips, AND sprinkles in it. It was really good and the long line was worth the wait!

Emily: After breakfast, campers spread out to the North and South fields to practice Songfest. Songfest is a big Tan and White game that takes place during second session. It requires a lot of practice and hard work for the teams, but results in an awesome performance that you have to see to believe.
Annie: At the Tans’ practice, we finished learning the first verse and chorus for our song. One of the sachems for our team lives in the tri-cabin with me, so it’s really helpful to practice extra with her!

Emily: For lunch, we had the usual Sunday corn dogs and mac and cheese. I have had a lot of mac and cheese in my life (seriously, ask my friends) and I can tell you that it was delicious. There was definitely a line for seconds!
Annie: And even better than the food, we got to eat lunch with our camp Big Sisters! My big sister Maisy M. and I sat with lots of other pairs from Circle C. After lunch, Maisy and I learned things about each other like favorite colors and the type of deodorant we use.
Emily: That sounds awesome. These little facts will come in handy this week when you compete against other big and little sisters!

Emily: After lunch, the real excitement began as we brought Minocqua Town Day to CRC. I got to run Toyland, and was busy all day. The pop-it bracelets and plush animal keychains were flying off the shelves!
Annie: The ice cream was really good and I got to buy a t-shirt from Monkey Business. I think they did a really good job bringing town to camp!

Annie: After town day, we had to practice our Lip Sync. We were using brooms as props for our dance to a song from “Annie.” But we also played Drip, Drip, Drop together! It’s like Duck-Duck-Goose but with water and you can pour it on someone.
Emily: That sounds awesome! It was hot out today so I bet the cold water felt good.

Annie: And dinner tonight was pizza- it was really good. There were different pizzas but I really liked the one with two types of cheese on it! Emily: I agree, the cheese pizza was great.

Emily: And to top off an amazing day, tonight’s evening program was the fan favorite- Lip Sync!
Annie: I was so excited because we’ve been working on it a lot. We started practicing four days ago.
Emily: There were some truly amazing performances, and the judges and I had such a tough time deciding the winner. But in the end, Bowed Legs took home the win for Wrangler Village! And for Colt Village…
Annie: WE WON! I was surprised because other cabins did really well, too. We went to Cathy’s for our prize and I got Mississippi Mud. It was so good!
Emily: Circle C’s hard work and practice definitely paid off!

Well, that’s all for tonight. We are exhausted after a busy day at camp and have to get ready for another great day tomorrow!

And HUGE thanks to Annie for co-writing my first Sari Diaries with me!

Lots of love,
Emily and Annie F.
