Hi chippies! It’s Sarah N and Dylan G writing to you from Bowed Legs. It was a fantastic day in Chippyland. After a much needed post-firework sleep in we had our first day of regular activities with our new schedules. Today was one of the hottest days that Chippies have seen in a while. I (Dylan) started the day taking photos of Timber Walk campers on the ski boat. The hot weather made the jump into the lake extra sweet. Afterwards I had the pleasure of sailing with a group of Boots and Cactus campers as their Instructors Aid. I was excited when they eagerly asked to setup and sail the boat all by themselves. After learning today, they are looking forward to sailing without help next time. Today was picnic lunch, and when we got there we had an amazing treat… Avocados! You should have seen the look on the campers’ faces as the freshly cut ‘cados came into their view! Frankly, those avocados are the little push I need to get me through my day. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, the Chippewa Gods greeted us with a short rainfall, cooling off the day. In the afternoon I got to assist an energetic fitness class for Stella G, Alexis G, and Bryna C-S and I went sailing w Lola S. and Mia R. After a delicious dinner of spaghetti and meatballs and a trip to canteen, we had cabin night!

Hey, it’s Sarah! To start off my day I headed over to the Stand Up Paddle Boarding docs to help some campers load onto the boards and go out on the lake. I was so jealous watching them soak up the refreshing Dam Lake water. Thankfully, I took a dip at my second period- swimming. The campers at this activity were relieved from doing practicing their front crawl strokes, and instead all got to have free swim. The highlight of free swim today was definitely the slide. Campers were so excited to climb up the rock-wall-like backside and slide down the frontside. Like Dylan mentioned, lunch was simply delicious. I wrapped up my day in the CRC Cooking Academy where campers made their own pizzas and got to eat them- a pre dinner snack! As the sun descended, the cabin of Bowed Legs set up a make-shift spa: braiding hair and painting nails. It was tons of fun and we fell asleep feeling pampered and relaxed.
