We are very excited to feature Molly R in the April Camper Spotlight! Even though Molly has only spent four summers at CRC, her love of Chippewa is clear. She brings a ton of spirit and laughter to our camp community, and we love experiencing our summers with her. She is a friend to all, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Read below to learn a little bit more about Molly’s love of CRC and her life both in and out of camp.
What cabin were you in during the summer of 2019?
I was in Copper Stripes.
How many summers have you been at camp?
4 years!
What do you love most about camp?
I love getting to see all of my friends and connecting with them without real world distractions.
What is your favorite memory from the summer of 2019?
My favorite memory was when I finally dropped a ski and went around the lake!
What did you do last summer to stay connected to the Chippewa community?
Right before the pandemic I went to Nashville to visit my camp friends, and we had many Facetime and Zoom calls over the summer and in the months since.
How do you stay in touch with your camp friends during the year?
I Snapchat, text, FaceTime, and play online games with my friends.
What are you most looking forward to in the summer of 2021?
I am honestly just looking forward to being back at camp with my friends.
What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject in school is math- specifically algebra.
What activities do you participate in during the year?
During the fall, I played on the junior high volleyball team. During the winter, I played for the junior high A basketball team, and during the spring I am playing softball for my school team. Throughout the whole year I ride horses at a local barn where I have learned how to jump.
Is there anything else you want to share with your Chippy family?
To all my Chippy family- I can’t wait to see you in a couple months, it’s been too long!!
