Our April Camper Spotlight features JJ S! JJ is truly a bright light at CRC and is loved by the entire camp community. She is one of those campers who each and every day acts with the Chippewa Compass and Creed in mind. She looks out for others, enjoys and appreciates her time at camp and always has a contagious smile on her face.
JJ lives in Scottsdale, AZ during the off-season where she is a competitive gymnast…and quite a successful one at that. She is a level eight gymnast and puts a lot of hard work into practicing (she spends 25 hours per week in the gym!). While she wouldn’t share this herself, we want to highlight some of her gymnastics accomplishments over the last year: In 2019 she won all around at State and made the Arizona State Team for regionals! In 2020 (before the season was cancelled) she got 3rd place at the Simone Biles Invitational in Houston and got to meet Simone.
Way to go JJ- we are very proud of your commitment and sucess! Read below to learn more about JJ- her life both at camp and at home :).
