Camper Spotlight- April 2019

Monday, April 22 by Sari Hirsch

Lauren G is featured in our April Camper Spotlight! Lauren has worn a huge smile on her face since her first day of camp back in 2015. Ask any camper or counselor at CRC, and they will tell you that Lauren is a source of light to all those around her- she can make anybody laugh and truly cares about everybody. In addition to her being a friend to all, she is an excellent athlete who has a ton of Chippy and White Team spirit. Lauren is an integral part of the Chippewa family and we are looking forward to seeing all that she accomplishes in her many summers to come at CRC. Read below to learn a bit more about Lauren…

Cactus

How many summers have you been at camp?
This is going to be my 5th summer.

What do you miss most about camp?
I miss hanging out with my friends in the cabin after a long day of great activities. It’s fun to bond and talk without everyone on their phones!

What is your favorite memory from the summer of 2018?
I always love the Tan and White competitions. Capture the Flag and Realm were awesome last year.

What are you most looking forward to in the summer of 2019?
I’m looking forward to that feeling I get every year when I step off the bus and realize I’m home.

How do you stay in touch with your camp friends during the year?
This year has been great because we have had so many bar and bat mitzvahs together. We also text a lot and try to make plans when we are all free.

What is your favorite subject in school?
I like math the most.

What activities do you participate in during the year?
I play goalie for my soccer team. I also play tennis and basketball.

Is there anything else you want to share with your Chippy family?
Camp means everything to me and I can’t wait to go back so soon.
