The Sari Diaries- Saturday 8/4/18

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

On this beautiful, sunny day at Chippewa Ranch Camp, it is camper-counselor switch day! Spirits are running high as some of the older campers fulfill the roles of their favorite counselors and staff! The campers participating in this very exciting day are dressed exactly like their chosen staff member from head to toe!

You may be wondering, who’s Sari for the day? That must be me, Sasha L. I am a Lakeview camper and it is my fifth summer at camp. I am excited to tackle Sari’s constantly busy agenda for the day. Some of my tasks include making announcements, meeting future Chippies, and writing today’s Sari Diaries.

To start off the day, Talia S. (who took on the role as Cliff) woke the camp up with the Greatest Showman soundtrack, along with Lakeview’s favorite song, Mr. Brightside. The admin staff for the day enjoyed eating at the staff table for breakfast and lunch. I was ecstatic when I danced my way up to the front of the mess hall to showcase Sari’s famous “the hips” move. After lunch, an admin meeting was held to discuss some of Chippewa’s requests for future summers to come. In addition, I snapped some great pictures of Chippies at their activities!

Today was such a fun day and I am grateful that I got the opportunity to take on such a high role at camp! Thank you so much Sari for allowing me to step into your shoes and experience Chippewa from your perspective.
