The Sari Diaries- Sunday 7/15/18

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

Second session at #TheRanch2018 is officially underway and we could not be more excited. The staff and eight week campers welcomed the second session campers in with open arms and the bonding has already begun. Today was filled with fun and excitement…as a first day should be. Here are the details…

The buses pulled in at about 3pm and “We Welcome You To Chippewa” was sung loud and proud. As new campers and returned campers flooded off the buses, hugs were exchanged and screaming was heard. Once we announced cabins at the Center Fire Circle, campers and their counselors enjoyed some time together getting to know each other, unpacking and touring camp before dinner. Per our first night of camp tradition, we enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs for dinner…yum!

After dinner, we had an awesome Friendship Fire where we did some camp favorites- I Saw A Bear, Picolomini (won by Rebecca V), Chippy Trivia Quiz Raffle (won by Sam G) and an amazing keylog ceremony. The energy was high, and while I think everyone was ready for bed by the end, it was a wonderful way to kick-off the second session!

We are looking forward to our first full day of camp tomorrow…I apologize for the short post tonight but I promise there will be plenty of details tomorrow but for now, enjoy your night…thanks for reading!
