Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,
It was been quite a day at #TheRanch2018! From wake-up until bedtime, it was action packed and full of happy Chippies. Here are the details…enjoy!
This morning was pretty much perfect. We woke up to lovely weather, listened to a Seven Wonders Quiz, had a delicious french toast stick breakfast and then had a pretty good cabin clean-up! Activity periods were awesome today and I even got to experience first period tennis…so much fun! While my tennis game is a bit rusty, the entire senior tennis team was very welcoming and encouraging! At cooking, they made chocolate lava cakes. Léa W was kind enough to bring an extra to the office for me to try…it was amazing! In other daytime news, Alex G told me that the highlight of her day was Arts & Crafts. The entire class went to the Daisy for a change of scenery- they made signs for each other and enjoyed a relaxing activity period.
After lunch today, we did some UN Day cheering in preparation for Monday! Teams also met so that everyone could sign up for their UN Day activities. The captains and advisors are doing a great job of leading their teams and keeping the excitement high for what is sure to be one of the best days of the summer. Additionally, Missy Rosenthal and Hannah Cohen have been working very diligently on the preparations for the day…I am confident that with their planning, the day will run smoothly and fun will be had by all!
Tonight we hosted the boys from Camp Kawaga for an awesome movie-themed social. Leah Berns, one of our program directors, put a great deal of time and effort into making this social incredible…and let me tell you, it was a great success! From a Finding Nemo Memory game to Minions Popcorn and Star Wars Paper Airplane Making, there was an activity for everyone. We obviously had great snacks and the music was, per usual, jamming. Those who know Kawaga boys enjoyed seeing them and everyone else had a blast dancing, eating and participating in the various activities. It was definitely a great night!
And now it’s time for bed…with the last day of the third week upon us tomorrow, we are starting to feel the crunch. The cabin bonding is in full force and the staff is really working to help the campers make the most of every second. We are looking forward to our final cabin day of first session tomorrow- it should be a good one…but I’ll wait until then to tell you about that :).
Thanks for reading tonight- have a good one!
Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
