The Sari Diaries- Saturday 6/23/18

Friday, June 22 by Sari Hirsch

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

Thanks for checking back in to read the Sari Diaries tonight. I am going to give you the short and sweet version of our day at #TheRanch2018…

It was a beautiful day in the North Woods- we have really been so lucky thus far with this weather! We had our fourth consecutive day of regular activities, and it was a day full of fun, achievements and skill building. Mackenzie M trotted on a horse named Lil Joe…pretty cool! I was lucky enough to help out at basketball during second period and it was awesome. There are eight campers in the class who are all very talented players…yeah Chippy Ballers! On the lake, the Senior Sailing Team had a blast. In the office tonight, Sam S and Smoss described the fun that they had and even claimed that it was her favorite part of the summer thus far.

This evening we hosted Camp Menominee for a Pajama Party Social. The food was outstanding, the music kept the crowd dancing and the different games around the field just added to the fun. For those with friends and family at Menominee, it was nice to reunite, and for those who didn’t know anybody, they loved hanging with their cabins and camp friends. Overall, it was a great night- I have to admit that Chippewa really knows how to put on a social!

Before bed, I stopped by a couple of cabins and enjoyed seeing the bonding that was happening all across camp. In Silverspurs, they were planning Sophie B’s comedy show and in Timber Walk, they were recounting stories of their first week of camp. The general vibe was incredibly positive and it was obvious that connections within cabins are already strong!

As for tomorrow, we are looking forward to our first cabin day of the summer. Everyone is excited and I promise to report back in full detail. I hope you are all enjoying your evening- talk to you soon!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
