Staff Spotlight- December 2016

Our December Staff Spotlight features Lizzy LoGrande! Lizzy is an amazing CRC staff member who is extremely dedicated to the Chippy community. While she started at camp as a bit of an older camper, she has made up for it by returning summer after summer and having an extremely positive impact on Chippewa. This past summer, Lizzy was our Activities Director and did a fantastic job. We are looking forward to having her back for yet another amazing summer and we know that her campers and fellow staff members feel the same way! Read below to learn all about Lizzy’s camp experience…

How many summers have you been at camp?
This will be my 10th summer!!!!

What cabin were you in during the summer of 2016?
I was in Wagon Ridge 2016- winter wonderland :).

What is your favorite part about being a counselor at CRC?
My favorite part about being a counselor is getting to be a kid with all the campers again. I love to watch them have the same experiences and even ones I didn’t have. Basically I LOVE MY CAMPERS!!!

What was your favorite memory from the summer of 2016?
This is so hard… but it would probably be when my mom sent the entire camp floss so my campers and I had a flossing dance party!

What is your favorite camp memory of all time?
It’s so hard to pick just one but maybe 4th of July 2011? That was my Lakeview summer so we planned it and 4th is always one of my favorite days at camp so this was a really special one!

What are you most looking forward to in the summer of 2017?
Summer 2017 is obviously going to be the best year yet! I can’t wait to see all of the campers and counselors back at the best place in the world and I’m looking into bringing some old Chippy activities back into action so stay tuned!

How do you stay in touch with your camp friends during the year?
During the year I’m constantly texting all of my camp friends! It makes my day to get texts or face times from my co-counselors!

What do you do when you are not at camp?
When I’m not at camp, I’m studying Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, but mostly I just miss camp!

Anything else you want to share with your Chippy family?
Get excited for Summer 2k17- it’s gonna be the best!!
