Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,
It has been a spectacular Cabin Day here at CRC and now that everyone is asleep and camp is quiet, I am happy to be sitting in the office reflecting on the weekend as a whole. I think it is safe to say that we are all exhausted, but I think that’s a good indication of the effort put in and the fun that was had over the past couple of days. Here are today’s highlights!
It is crazy that two weeks have already passed, but today it was already time to sign up for the second set of activities. Everyone was excited to choose their new schedule and Chippies young and old are looking forward to beginning activities again tomorrow. When they weren’t in the lodge signing up, cabins did various activities including scavenger hunts and water games. During this time, I had the privilege of baking with the cabin of Horseshoe. We baked cookies and turned them into ice cream sandwiches. They were delicious but the best part was just hanging out and chatting with the campers…they are a riot and a lot of fun!
This evening, Camp Horseshoe came over for a luau. Brothers & sisters, cousins and friends were all thrilled to see each other. We took some great pictures, so be sure to check those out! We danced in the South Field, played limbo and drank homemade Hawaiian punch. A great time was had by all and our staff kept the energy high all night!
I guess it’s time for bed for me and the rest of #TheRanch2015. I feel like we have all earned a good night’s rest and I know I am looking forward to it myself! Thanks for reading tonight…have a good one!
Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
PS Be sure to check back at the photos from yesterday…they just finished uploading!
