The Sari Diaries- Friday 7/24/15

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

Today was quite a special day at CRC and I am here to report that despite the current thunderstorm, it has been a beautiful day in the Northwoods. Here are the exciting details of today’s events…

  1. We had approximately twenty seven visitors hanging out at camp today and it was awesome. We had alumni, parents and prospect families join us at #TheRanch2015, which was a lot of fun for everyone. I had my parents here, my former campers here and some of my very best camp friends visiting. I love when worlds collide and it is funny how different generations of Chippies recognize the bond that we all share in calling this our home. Some of the visitors participated in activities with campers while others just enjoyed being on camp grounds. Overall, there was a great spirit in the air in Chippyland today!

  1. Tonight’s campfire was led by Jessica C. She did a fantastic job speaking, and was able to wonderfully articulate the importance of the theme- “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff.” Keylogs were thrown in for so many sweet camp happenings and as I looked around the fire circle, the scene couldn’t have been cuter. Regardless of age, campers and staff were sharing camp chairs arm-in-arm just loving the togetherness.

  1. This fabulous day was capped off with a meeting with Lakeview in the Main House. We brought in McDonalds and congratulated them on a wonderful first week of second session. Their leadership by example, enthusiasm for camp programming and care for our younger campers has been outstanding and we wanted to share this with them. It was fun to eat, chat and give them our thanks for a job well done.

I think that’s all for tonight but we are all looking forward to an amazing Jenny Day tomorrow. Thanks for reading- enjoy your night!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
