The Sari Diaries- Saturday 6/20/15

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

After a rainy day here at #TheRanch2015, the anticipation of Monday is palpable. Today was the final full day of pre-camp and excitement is in the air…we are officially ready for the campers to arrive! Here is a recap of the awesomeness that was June 20th at CRC.

Today we centered our attention on cabin issues and preparation. Counseling teams worked together to create job charts, finalize cabin clean-up, learn about their campers and make plans to ensure a wonderful cabin environment. As seems to have been the case with this staff crew all week, I was impressed with their thoughtfulness and motivation to understand their campers’ needs and work towards implementing innovative activities to meet them.

Tonight’s program was highly entertaining. All week, staff have been working hard in teams to create a lip sync. The show that they put on was really something…please interpret that however you see fit. While the typical prize for winning Lip Sync is Cathy’s, the staff were told that the victors would have the opportunity to perform at the Camper Lip Sync during first session. This was something they wanted to work towards! Each performance was unique and it was impossible to pick only one winner. There were two winning performances and BOTH will be seen by the campers this summer.

The evening ended with everyone chanting for “All camp Cathy’s,” and although Cliff was not thrown in the lake, to Cathy’s we went! As always, it was delicious and there were lots of happy Chippies!
