The Sari Diaries- Monday 6/29/15

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

This evening I am writing to you from the CIT Trip. Today we spent the day at Camp Chi where we took a tour, learned about their programming and hung out with their SITs (staff in training). It was very cool to hear about the ways of their camp and to compare & contrast. The trip has been a blast thus far but we are all looking forward to getting back to camp tomorrow! I have been getting frequent updates from Cliff & Soph-Aloaf to keep me in the CRC loop and here are today’s highlights…

  1. This morning the weather held out and we were able to run regular activities. Camp was full of action and everyone was having a good time! We had a nice Picnic Lunch on the patio…the first of the summer, and it was was delicious!

  1. The afternoon brought some rain so we had the opportunity to play loudspeaker Chippy BINGO. Each cabin had a big BINGO board with different Chippewa people, places and things drawn in each square. Morgan and Monica were on the loudspeaker giving clues that led people to fill in their boxes. It was a lot of fun and the winning cabin was Cactus!

  1. We had a completely new evening program tonight called Athletes vs. Mathletes. Each cabin was either an Athlete or a Mathlete and had to dress the part. Everyone reported to the theater in costume and it was a trivia competition between the two teams. In addition to the entire camp looking extremely cute, there was lots of laughter and spirit throughout the night. This one was definitely a success!

That’s about all from #TheRanch2015. It was a fantastic day and we are looking forward to an even better one tomorrow! Thanks for reading and have a great night.

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
