The Sari Diaries- Saturday 8/9/14

Saturday, August 09 by Sari Hirsch

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

I am writing after a lovely first day of Family Camp 2014. It has been exciting to have so many families roll into camp today prepared for an awesome week ahead. After a really nice but small first summer last year, this summer, we have over fifty people here ready to enjoy the beauty of camp. We have children, parents and grandparents hanging out with us and we are thrilled to have so many Chippewa and camp enthusiasts. It also feels really good, after a rough day yesterday, to have this place filled with campers who love Chippewa. Our alumni are so happy to be back at their home away from home and our other family campers are ecstatic to be a part of the Chippy experience.

A special shout-out to #CRC2014 campers, Juliette S and Lola S…they are both here with their families and are helping to recreate the magic of this past summer! I am also very excited to have my cabinmate, Lisa Taylor Korach, here with her two kids, along with our counselor, Heather White, here with her two little ones. It feels just like old times :).

Okay, that’s all for tonight, but I will keep you updated throughout the week on the happenings of Family Camp- there are sure to be tons of s’mores, activities, evening programs and fun. Thanks for reading…have a good night!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
